"Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood."
Acts 20:28

Bishop Arthur L. Jenkins, Sr.

Presiding Bishop of the New Jersey Evangelical Central Diocese

Pastor of the Community Church of Iselin, COOLJC

The Pastor, The Visionary, The Leader

Bishop Arthur Lee Jenkins Sr., born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, was one of 10 children of Will and Goldie Jenkins. Educated in Florida, he later moved to New Jersey in 1960, where he married Virginia Morrow from Tennessee. Their marriage was blessed with five children: Arthur Jr., Yvonne, Lydia, Christopher, and Heather.

In 1966, Bishop Jenkins was called to lead the Community Church of Iselin. Initially, services were held in the home of Deacon and Mother Bell, starting with just eight members. Through his dedication and the faithfulness of his small congregation, they expanded the church by adding a left wing. Today, the church has grown into a larger edifice that seats 350 people, a result of their hard work and God's blessings.

Bishop Jenkins has faced significant personal trials, including the loss of his firstborn daughter and his beloved wife, Virginia, to illness. Despite these heartbreaking losses, his faith and strength in the Lord carried him through. In 2011, Bishop Jenkins found love again and married Dorisa Rich. A year later, on July 22, 2012, he was elevated to the office of Bishop by the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Bishop Jenkins remains dedicated to his ministry, focusing on saving souls through preaching, teaching, and offering encouragement to all.
